Privacy Policy

AETHER Fitness (“AETHER,” “we,” “us”) provides psychological assessment software that helps personal trainers understand why clients stop training. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and who we share it with. We’ve tried to write it in plain English rather than legalese.

Information You Give Us

Depending on how you use AETHER, we may collect:

• Your name and email address — when you take a free assessment, use a tool, or create an account.
• Your assessment responses — the answers you give to the questions in our assessment.
• Your trainer’s email address — only if you choose to provide it, so we can send them your report. This field is optional.
• Account information — if you become a member, your name, email, and a securely stored password.

Payment Information

Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe — we never see, handle, or store your card number. We receive only a confirmation that a payment succeeded and basic subscription status. Stripe’s handling of your data is governed by their own privacy policy.

Information Collected Automatically

We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site — which pages are viewed, roughly where visitors are located, what device they’re on, and which actions (like starting an assessment) are taken. This is collected via cookies and similar technologies. We use it in aggregate to improve the site, not to identify you personally.

You can opt out of Google Analytics entirely using Google’s browser opt-out add-on, or by using your browser’s tracking protection.

How We Use Your Information

• To generate your psychological retention report from your assessment responses.
• To email you your report, and — if you provided it — to email a copy to your trainer.
• To create and maintain your account and membership if you join.
• To send you service-related email (your report, account notices, and occasional follow-ups).
• To understand how the site is used so we can improve it.

We do not sell your personal information.

AI Processing of Assessment Responses

This one deserves its own section, because you should know exactly how your report is made. Your assessment responses are sent to Anthropic (the company behind the Claude AI models) so that an AI model can analyze them and generate your written report. Your responses are transmitted for the purpose of producing your report and returning it to you. Anthropic’s handling of that data is governed by their own privacy and data-use terms.

Who We Share Data With

We use a small number of trusted service providers to run AETHER. Each receives only what it needs to do its job:

• Stripe — payment processing and subscriptions.
• Supabase — database hosting (accounts, assessments, reports).
• Anthropic — AI analysis of assessment responses to generate reports.
• Resend — sending email (reports, account and follow-up messages).
• Google Analytics — website usage analytics.
• Vercel — website hosting and delivery.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights, safety, or the safety of others.

If You’re a Trainer Sending Assessments to Clients

If you’re an AETHER member sharing your assessment link with your own clients, you are responsible for having their permission to collect and process their responses, and for handling the reports you receive about them responsibly.

Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service — for example, so your reports remain available in your dashboard. If you ask us to delete your data, we will do so except where we’re required to keep records (for example, payment records for tax or accounting purposes).

Your Rights and Choices

You can ask us to show you what personal information we hold about you, correct it if it’s wrong, or delete it. Depending on where you live (for example, in the EU/UK under GDPR, or in California under the CCPA), you may have additional rights. Security

We use reputable infrastructure providers, encrypted connections, and secure password storage to protect your information. That said, no method of transmission or storage on the internet is completely secure, and we can’t guarantee absolute security.

Children

AETHER is not intended for anyone under 18, and we don’t knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, email us and we’ll delete it.

Changes to This Policy

If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we’ll update the “last updated” date at the top, and where appropriate we’ll let you know by email.
